Boise River Fly Fishing Camp for Kids
Summer 2025

What Your Child Will Learn

Over the course of three fun-filled days, campers will get real instruction and hands-on practice:

• Fly Fishing Basics – Gear setup, fly types, and trout feeding habits

• Fly Casting – Learn how to properly cast a fly rod

• Bug & Insect Identification – Understand what trout eat and how to match the hatch

• Knot Tying & Rigging – Simple, useful knots every angler needs

• River Etiquette & Conservation – Respect the fish, the water, and fellow anglers

Camp Schedule

• Dates: June 18, 19 & 20

• Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM each day

• Location: Two classroom sessions + one field day on the Boise River

Camp Cost & Details

• $200 per child

• Ages: 9 and up

• All gear provided – Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn

• Taught by licensed, local fly fishing guides at Vice Outdoors
